Tri-State Tres Dias
Newsletter
I am delighted to report that our Tres Dias community continues to be truly blessed by God as we endeavor to bring Christians into a more personal walk with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. My job here is to try to list some of the ways in which God has expressed these blessings.
One important means is through the weekends we conducted in 2012. We had four very capable leaders, Dennis Lannert, Dottie Durgy, John Anoskey, and Stacy Stevens. These faithful pescadores stepped forward to form teams and conduct the two sets of weekends we held, one each in the Spring and Fall. We were very blessed to have nearly full weekends this year, with a total of 118 out of 128 possible candidate spots being filled. Most importantly, many of these new pescadores are now getting involved in small groups and also stepping up to increasing leadership roles in their churches and other ministries.
We held 11 Secuelas in 2012, with two of them being “open” to those who have not yet made a weekend (Christmas and the May “Pentecost” secuelas). We had some great witness talks shared with us where we were inspired to continue our efforts to live out the Christian life.
We also held 11 meetings of your governing body, the Secretariat. These were held prior to the Secuelas each month, and as in prior years we dealt with a variety of subjects. Here’s an example of the items we discussed this past year in our meetings:
Besides the typical membership changes for Rectors/Rectoras and At Large members, Cathy Huestis took over from Charlie Seltzer as our Treasurer. Dan Kennedy took over from Tim Lindstrum as the Secretariat Spiritual Director. And just a month or so ago, we announced that Randy Kleinschmidt is now the assistant Lay Director, taking over as Lay Director in 2014, with Margo Borre taking over for Randy as a Secuela co-host. Dave Bozman has generously offered to take over as our weekend supply chairperson from Terry Schultheis who has served us in this capacity for many years. And since we’re talking about changing roles, most of you probably know, our community music coordinator, Dave Woodrum is moving out of the area, so we are looking for his replacement. Contact me or anyone on Secretariat if you want more information about opportunities to serve.
One final comment is that I’d like to thank all of those who so freely give of their time and energy to supporting this wonderful community. At this time I’d like everyone who serves on Secretariat to stand and be recognized. Besides those serving on Secretariat, there are many of you who are faithfully performing tasks that get very little recognition, but are vital for carrying out this ministry. Please know that you are much appreciated and be assured that you are storing up riches in heaven!
To God be the Glory!

Lay Director
The team gathered together for the first time on Sunday February 10th at Methodist Temple. The jobs were assigned, the schedules handed out and the team is ready to serve. Please help us by praying for the team. We are seeking the Holy Spirit's guidance to prepare our hearts and minds for service.
Our theme verse is John 15:15- "I no longer call you servants,…Instead, I have called you friends, " Join the team in praying God will send a group of candidates for weekend #71, who are searching for a deeper relationship with Jesus and are ready to be called His friend.
Mark your calendars for Saturday March 16th and plan to join us at 8:00 a.m. at Methodist Temple in Celebration Hall for Talk Help Day. It's a great way for you to support the team of TSTD #71.

I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you. John 15:15
DeColores 4th Day,
We the men of TSTD# 71 want to thank you for all the support and prayers you have provided on our behalf. These weekends do not happen in a vacuum and without your love and support we would not be able to minister to the candidates who will be making this weekend. We hope to have a full slate of candidates and we know God has great plans for them on this weekend. We appreciate all that you do and hope to see you on the weekend or the next Secuela.
Your Brother In Christ,
Steve Boyer
